Our lab is interested in many different aspects of bacterial ecology and evolution, including:

• bacterial behaviour at the single-cell level

• the evolution of transcriptional regulation

• bacterial phylogeography

• animal microbiome diversity (including marine mammals, cows, and rats)

• SARS-CoV-2 genomics and diagnostics (recently)
